Time Loop

The character is young, small and red in color, but weak. We're orphans in a village that's being attacked by the villain, and our goal is to protect the village from him. Seeing us fail in our mission, the master of time decides to make us enter a time loop. Unfortunately, this new character isn't nice in reality, and simply wants us to survive, even if it means abandoning the village, by setting 2 conditions to get out of the loop: the first is not to die, and the second is that the village itself must be destroyed.    So we're left with a possible “double ending”: either we continue playing and have to save the village ad infinitum. Or we find a way to escape, knowing that our village will be destroyed.
